Community Advocacy and Advisory Services provides consulting services, guidance and other technical assistance to social service organizations and coalitions. CAAS provides consulting services and direct representation to social service organizations and coalitions in New York and across the country.
CAAS is an entrepreneurial venture of Housing Works, Inc., a national leader in advocacy, social ventures, housing development and direct service programs. Housing Works is the nationís largest community-based HIV/AIDS organization, as well as the nationís largest minority-controlled HIV/AIDS organization.

CAAS can help develop cutting-edge social ventures that provide unrestricted income for nonprofit groups and meaningful employment for their clients. CAAS utilizes the services of Housing Works executives who have developed successful multimillion dollar businesses as social ventures. We provide consulting services ranging from informational interviews to full development of business plans, solicitation of venture capital, and business rollout.
Housing and Direct Service Program Development
CAAS can help develop supportive housing and service programs for high-needs populations. We have particular experience in housing and services designed for homeless individuals and families with multiple diagnoses, including HIV/AIDS, mental illness, chemical dependency and histories of incarceration or domestic violence. CAAS utilizes the services of Housing Works executives who have developed hundreds of units of new-construction and renovated housing, as well as case management and health care services and job training and employment programs that serve thousands.
