Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is key to protecting people from HIV transmission, but PrEP uptake has been inadequate among persons of color, women and New Yorkers over 50. To move towards equity in protection against HIV transmission, we demand New York increase funding for tailored PrEP outreach, remove barriers to accessing PrEP prescriptions, and make available new HIV Longer Acting Products, with a focus on communities experiencing disproportionate rates of new HIV diagnoses.
