Achieve HIV Housing for New York
Achieve HIV Housing for New York
Stable housing is the most critical factor for the health of people with HIV and is key to preventing the virus from spreading. Through the existing HIV Emergency Shelter Allowance program, NYC has helped over 28,000 low-income New Yorkers with HIV secure stable housing. Yet as many as 2,735 low-income people with HIV living upstate and on Long Island have been left behind. We’re fighting for a state budget that ensures equitable access to rental assistance for low-income people with HIV facing homelessness who live upstate and on Long Island.
