Justice

We keep us safe! Police and our criminal legal system disproportionately over-police Black and brown communities and fail to keep our communities safe. Safer communities tend to have more resources, not more police. We must invest in public health, housing, and education, and divest from policing, jails and prisons. We will continue to fight for parole reform, increased police accountability, and increased support for people returning home from incarceration.

Poverty is not a crime! We actively oppose the criminalization of poverty, homelessness, sex work, HIV/AIDS, mental illness, and drug use.

Our Mission

Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.
