In Haiti, Focusing on Awareness and the Fight Against HIV

On November 30th, Housing Works Haiti organized an Open Day, focusing on awareness and the fight against HIV. The event included an art exhibition organized by FEDHAP+, highlighting the resilience of people living with HIV (PHLIV), as well as free testing sessions, with 38 consultations and 58 self-tests carried out. 14 new people were enrolled for PrEP, and educational sessions on prevention, such as correct use of condoms, were offered. Various partners, such as SEROvie, Odelpa and the Panos Institute, contributed to raising awareness on key themes such as prevention through PrEP and the U=U (Undetectable + Untransmittable) campaign. Finally, the Ministry of Public Health and Population supported the event with trainings led by experts, reaching more than 50 young people from various organizations, to strengthen knowledge on HIV and its prevention methods.
