Decriminalize Sex Work
Decriminalize Sex Work
Sex work involves consenting adults exchanging money, resources, or goods in exchange for sexual services, erotic performances, and other sexual entertainment. Sex work is work. Consenting adult sex workers deserve protection from harmful criminalization and the same human rights and protections as any worker. Decriminalization ensures sex workers can demand safe workplace conditions, seek healthcare, and report abuse and crimes without fear and stigma. We support the decriminalization of sex work through the passage of Cecilia’s Act for Rights in the Sex Trade (A8605A/S4396) to ensure adults who trade, purchase, or support sex work will not face criminal charges, and past convictions will be vacated.
